Who is the NFA
Founded in 1991, the National Floorcovering Alliance (NFA) was created by a select group of leading independent flooring retailers who wanted to remain fiercely independent while still gaining the advantages of collective buying power. Unlike traditional buying groups, NFA members are not required to follow a corporate model, carry mandated products, or conform to centralized programs. Instead, the NFA is built on collaboration, vendor partnerships, and shared opportunity, while ensuring every member retains full control of their business.
Over the years, the NFA has pioneered industry-shaping programs like direct vendor partnerships, roll-buy and pallet-buy programs, and its signature Vendor Day – an intimate, one-of-a-kind format that fosters stronger manufacturer relationships with dedicated one-on-one time.
The NFA’s purpose has evolved far beyond rebates. Today, it serves as a powerful alliance where best-in-class retailers come together to strengthen their competitive advantage, grow their businesses, and elevate opportunities with vendors – all while preserving the independence that makes each member unique.
